AGADJA - LOKO The kingdom of Dahomey conquered SAVI in 1727. In remembrance of this victory, King Agadja (1711 - 1742) planted this iroko (chlorophora excelsa) on the local marketplace and also coincide with the day of the market of Zogbodomey (near Bohicon). This tree commonly called Agadja - LOKO, "that is to say" the tree of Agadja "testifies the longevity of this species and remains an imprint of that monarch in SAVI.
AGADJA-LEGBA OF SAVI Legba maintains public order, protects, gives and receives in return for service offerings. This deity is worshiped in all religions of Dahomey. We even distinguish several types: FA-LEGBA belonging to FA, TO-Legba belonging to a village or neighborhood, Houn-Legba belonging to a temple, etc.. There are two Agadja-Legba that the King (1711 - 1742) erected on the territory of the ancient kingdom of SAVI after its conquest in 1727. He placed the divinity reserved to SAVI to materialize the domination of Dahomey in the city. Today, Agadja-Legba remains helpful to all those who beg its mercy.
